Last week, I had an amazing time at the #BrailleNails event with @mollyburkeofficial. A huge thank you to CNIB Foundation for hosting such a fun, inspiring, and connection-filled day in honour of Braille Literacy Month at Majesty’s Pleasure in Yorkville, Toronto.
Meeting Molly was a full-circle moment for me. When I was starting to navigate being more visibly disabled, I discovered her YouTube channel, which offered me a glimpse into a future I didn’t know was possible for me. Fast forward to today, sharing space with her and the incredible disabled community felt truly special.
P.S. The #BrailleNails event has been the most accessible event I’ve attended to date! For me, a successful event means encountering no barriers and being able to show up as smoothly and naturally as everyone else—exactly the way it should be.
